I purchased the camera for my 2005 Toyota Tundra. The install was straight forward. The main challenge, and one for which I was tempted to give it 4 stars, was identifying the proper power source. I ended up finding an image of thw back side of a replacement rear tail light. The image contained the wire colors of the reverse/backup taillight. I was able to tap into this power source, so that the camera is engaged when I put the truck into reverse. However, if I had to wire it again, I would tap into a constant source of power. This is my only criticism, it takes approximately 10 seconds to get the camera connected to the wifi signal. It's properly functioning, but just not fast enough. I can't sit and wait 10 seconds. Outside of that, it works great. My signal strength is 3 out of 4 bars. The camera image is very realtime .. no latency. The image is clear. The install was very straightforward. It came with pretty much everything you need. You can't go wrong with this product.

It was easy installing but too much time to connect phone to camera. It always came up confirm wifi, the "car..." wifi net didn't come up all the time, had to go into settings and try several times to get it to connect. Not worth the effort and if u need to back up right away, do not recommend this set up. I threw away the package, so I can't return it. Just ordered a wired set up like I should have. I also have a newer model android phone, a Samsung s22, should have been fine to use. Disappointing, bottom line.

Turns out the problem was really with the power wiring. The power wiring supplied with the camera is very light Guage and hard to keep connected to the vehicle wiring. I fixed that and it does work. The image is excellent. I'm still deducting 1 star for the flimsy wire and the refresh rate is a bIt slow and jumpy.

Initially it was great. Excellent picture on my Atoto head unit with a 10 inch screen. It worked for 2 days and then would not connect. No wifi signal detected from the camera. It rained after the second day. Not sure if that is the problem. I still need to double check the wiring connection. I'll update this review if I can get it working again.

I cannot speak to the long-term reliability of this product, but initial indications are that this is a great product for the price. It was easy to setup both from powering it to the WiFi connectivity. Additionally, the picture quality and especially wide field of view are great. The only drawback is that you can only have one camera connected to your phone, but that is to be expected for a direct connect WiFi camera. Also, I am using this for a non-traditional installation as it is being used to view the implements on the back of a tractor as apposed to an automobile. It has been great and literally was installed and operational in 30 minutes.

The WiFi was okay except it only worked using the usb power source. When i tried to use the hard wired power source(which was weird to my tailor hitch adapter), it would not power up so their must be a problem with that cord however the usb cord worked just fine. It was bright enough and had good quality but i wasn't too happy with the mounting bracket so i used the sticky tape with the pad right at the camera and that was allot less conspicuous. So over all i have it 3 stars cuz the power wire really made it inconvenient as i had to use my jump box to plug it in and so u always have to reach out to it in the back seat to turn it on whenever i want to use it .

I waited awhile to review this. I bought what looks like the same camera from another seller and had to return it. First one quit after two weeks, second one never worked. This one seems fine.

If you have a flat four trailer light plug, it’s easy. Go to a Marine Boat store and buy a flat two connector, a red and a white wire. Use two self soldering shrink fit connectors. When you turn on your running or headlights, the camera powers up. Works for me because I don’t need it most of the time.

I had this for about a week before it stopped working. I gave it 2 stars because the picture was good quality and it was easy to set up on a phone or tablet, but it stopped broadcasting the wifi signal which is the only way you can connect to it in order to see the video. It was a pretty involved installation process, but with the right tools it is easy enough to get done. I saw some good reviews and the price was low enough for me to give it a shot. Fortuanately, it broke soon enough for me to get a refund. Looks like I'll be trying another brand and see if I have better luck.

When my tonneau is up, it blocks rear and bed view completely so I need something to improve the situation. I only need the camera when tonneau is up, so I attach the camera in the back of tonneau as in the pic. When it is up, camera faces and displays rear view as I intended. I have to wire included USB power cable into the cabin. It was connected USB cigar lighter adapter. 5V usb switched line works fine. I scan the QR code in the manual from iPad mini to install the app in my iPad. I connect everything and start app in the iPad mini. It shows the view right away. Rear and bed view quality is not the best but good enough for my purpose. $40+ investment is well worth it. iPad split screen is convenient to display rear view and others side by side as in the pic.
