Great way to bring an old car into the modern age.
This unit comes with a 7" touch screen display (double din size) with both a dash and a windshield suction cup mounts. It comes with 2 sticky pads for the dash mount, a 12v socket to USB-C power adapter, an auxiliary audio cable and a microSD card.The instructions for this unit are fairly informative and give you a good overview of how to get this unit up and running. That being said, the mounting of it is very straight forward, so it's all down to the configuration to get your phone connected to it and get it connected to you car.Once the unit is powered on, the menu is very easy to navigate. It supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto via a WiFi and Bluetooth connection. This unit also allows for connecting to your car's old radio via an FM transmitter to send the audio from the unit via the radio. You just select a radio frequency (on the unit) that isn't used in your area and set your car's radio to that same frequency and you are up and running. If you don't want to be required to set the car's radio to a given frequency, you can use the auxiliary audio cable provided, assuming your car has an AUX input port. The microSD card can be used to store music or video which can be played back on the unit's internal player.I have chosen to rate this product 5 stars. Overall this is a very basic unit that packs in several nice features. The ability to wirelessly use Android Auto and Apple CarPlay while also wirelessly using the car's radio for the audio output is awesome. It really only means you have to just plug in the power. If you are handy, you could even hardwire it in so as not to need the 12v socket adapter, which is likely what we'll do. If you have a car that doesn't include navigation capabilities, this is a nice inexpensive and extremely fast solution, so yes, I would definitely recommend it.Criteria for Stars:1 - Total rip off, doesn't perform basic advertised functions or not product advertised. I would likely RETURN and would NEVER recommend.2 - Not worth the money. Performs some of the basic advertised functions, but likely not all, and ultimately was deemed as not providing enough value for the money spent. I would not buy again, and would likely not recommend unless the buyer had a very specific use case.3 - It performs the basic functions as advertised, and has some usefulness at the price point, but doesn't work for all of the reasons I purchased. I would likely not buy again, and would only recommend if buyer understood usefulness limitations.4 - It performs most all of the features I purchased it for, but has limitations. I would likely buy again and would recommend.5 - Completely as advertised and likely exceeded expectations. Is if high quality and well shipped. I would totally buy again and recommend.
