I wanted a true wireless backup camera option, didn’t want to spend money on a full dash kit and install, this was the only option I could find that is truly wireless, it’s exactly as described and pictured. Install will take less than 5 minutes, and works perfectly for my needs. The clarity of the monitor is good, would be awesome if they can later upgrade to 1080 lens or higher, only time will tell as far as longevity and how long this will last but as of now I can definitely recommend!

Awesome camera! I’ve had another one that I ended up returning, but this one was perfect for my needs. Easy to install (a 3rd grader could do it) and picture quality is great! I highly recommend if you’re looking for an inexpensive fix for a rear camera without paying $500+!

Purchased this for a friend as a gift. It was very easy to install and operate. Only took about 5 minutes. Instructions were clear. Before installing, the instructions recommended that you test the camera and monitor. Everything synchronized immediately.

Installation is simple: remove the rear license plate, slide the plate into the camera bracket, reinstall the camera and plate. Next, plug the power cord into the accessory/lighter socket, plug in the monitor, turn on your car and turn on the monitor. It should sync quickly. Done! Mount the monitor wherever it is convenient.

This is a really good product if you are looking for a front or back camera. Image quality is good and guidelines are adjustable. It responds pretty quick when you press the button to connect and retains a good charge. You have ability to adjust how long you want it to stay on after it powers on. I stick the button under my steering wheel so I can just push it easily without getting my hands off.

A very well made system. Much better than expected. Simply unboxed, allowed solar camera to charge for a day, plugged in the monitor and turned it on. Worked just as soon as it powered up. Only adjustment I made was setting the screen time out( I chose 45 seconds) Literally took 3 minuites and I was up and running. One note, there is no like on the camera view so picture is not as clear in the dark as daytime. Otherwise, great product!

Unless you are used to playing with car wiring, this camera is anything but easy to install. After three days and watching just about every video on YouTube that relates to backup cameras and splicing wires, I finally have a working camera and tail lights that still work. Instructions tell you to test the camera before installing, but not where to find a 12 volt power source for bare wires. I finally figured out I could test the power to the camera by using the connection to the lighter outlet. The camera lights still did not come on so I went back and re-read the description on the Amazon website (which was far more useful than the instructions that came with). There I found that the lights only come when it’s dark. So I put my thumb over the light sensor and after a few seconds, the lights came on. Now that I was sure the camera worked, I removed one of the tail light housings and found the hot wire for the tail light, not the backup light because I want the camera on if the back of my truck is full. The camera is now in place and paired with the screen on the 1st try. I still have to deal with the ground wire and the 10 feet of wire that connects the camera to the power, but at least I finally got the setup working.

The only thing I have found useful in the instructions is how to pair the camera with the monitor. I contacted the seller about testing for power to the camera and also why there are two 10 foot power cords as well as a cigarette lighter cord. I got a very nice response but no answers to my questions.

The license plate holder is very solid and works fine for my truck, but my plate lights are on the side. One video I watched had the light above the plate and this type of camera wouldn’t fit. I also couldn’t put the camera antenna in the vertical position because the tailgate would snap it off when lowered. It seems to work in the horizontal position.

Update: Finally did get response to questions about testing camera and why 2 power cords. Apparently testing the camera only applies to whether or not it pairs with monitor but sill does not address the 12 volt power source issue. As for the 2nd power cable, just a spare I guess.

I like the large screen that shows up well in the dark. Easy install! My only concern is the adjustable camera that looks as though it can be broken off relatively easily. So far so good though and am appreciating this product. So much so I purchased a second for my daughter.
