The LeeKooLuu camera and video monitor delivers impressive results at a reasonable cost. It ensures accurate colors, sharp images, and a flicker-free experience. With a high refresh rate, it maintains smooth visuals even at high speeds. Clear night-time images are facilitated by infrared LEDs. Installation is relatively straightforward. In my experience, I would recommend it to those seeking a camera system with an excellent price/performance ratio.

SUMMARY:
This combination of camera and video monitor from LeeKooLuu produces very good results for a reasonable price. Colors are accurate, images are sharp and there’s no flicker or screen blanking. The refresh rate is sufficiently high and provides a smooth image, even at high speed. Night-time images are very clear, thanks to the use of infrared LEDs built into the camera. Installation is relatively easy, despite the instructions being somewhat confusing. I’ve only had the system installed for a brief period of time; therefore, I’m unable to provide any feedback on long-term reliability and durability. However, based on my experience thus far, I would recommend it to anyone who needs a camera system that offers a very good price/performance ratio.
GORY DETAILS:
When I first received the system, the camera was found to be defective. After exchanging a few trouble-shooting emails, the company sent a working replacement in a very short time.
As I mentioned in the summary, installation is fairly straightforward, even though some information in the installation guide is lost in translation, and a bit confusing. A bit of reading between the lines and interpretation is required. If you are still confused, the company can direct you to an installation video.
For use as a backup camera, the camera module is attached to the license plate mount using two screws (see photo). In my particular installation, I used security-head screws. This was done to minimize tampering with, or theft of, the camera. The camera can also be used as a front or side view camera, and the image adjusted accordingly.
Interior space in this particular car is limited, so the video monitor is currently mounted low on the dash, so as not to interfere with driving vision through the windshield (see photo). On a side note, I’m considering installing one on my motorcycle.
I wired the camera directly into the electrical system, rather than through the reverse lights, so that it’s on continuously. However, I integrated a small toggle switch into one of the car’s existing switch banks so that I can turn it off when desired (see photo). The power supply wiring is of a small-gauge, and therefore, is delicate and somewhat difficult to work with. I soldered all connections and used shrink tubing to strengthen the connections. With respect to the wiring harness that is used to connect the camera to the video monitor, it is sufficiently long (26.5’) and should accommodate most any size car. To minimize wear and tear on the harness, I used plastic sheathing to shield it from possible damage. This is probably unnecessary, but I decided to use it anyway.
There is an ‘intelligent’ switch built into the camera’s wiring harness that facilitates configuring how the image appears on the video monitor. Various settings (10+) such as grid line overlay, image format (NTSC/PAL), image reversal, ‘STOP’ warning, etc., can be changed using this switch. Unfortunately, the switch is located in close proximity to the camera, so chances are, after installation it will end up being somewhere between the license plate mount and the inside wall of the trunk. This will make it inaccessible in most installations, so it is necessary to decide on the desired options and set the configurations prior to final installation. A technical representative from the company indicated that this issue is being addressed.
Finally, one last important point: When purchasing a technology gadget from an international seller, access to technical and customer support is important and can save time and reduce frustrations by resolving issues in an expedient manner. This has not always been my experience. However, I’m pleased to report that communications with this seller, LeeKooLuu, have been excellent. The company replaced a defective camera in short order, and replies to my email messages have typically been in less than 6 hours. Factoring in the time difference between North America and Asia, this is impressive. In that regard, this company’s attention to its customers is a welcome exception.
IN CONCLUSION:
If you have a requirement for one or more video cameras for your vehicles,
I would recommend taking a close look at this seller’s products. They offer an array of options for larger vehicles (pick-ups, RVs, long-haul trucks, etc.), both hardwired and wireless, and with larger video monitors that are better suited for those types of vehicles. This product, in my experience, outperforms those costing significantly more, so I would encourage you to have a look.
I hope this review has offered some useful insights and has been helpful to you.

This is a great backup camera for the price. It is simple to install and does it's job well.
It comes with the bracket which I easily screwed on to my license plate frame. I then ran the wire that connects to the monitor underneath the trunk lid liner, down behind the back seat. Then I continued to snake the wire under the plastic pieces along the border of the door and up to the front dash board.
The electrical wire was easy to connect to the lightbulb, I didn't even use the provided red clips. I just inserted the wires + and - into the light bulb and taped it securely with electrical tape.
I tested everything and it works perfectly. The image is nice and clear, the parking lines can be adjusted as well as the camera; it swivels up and down.
I like that as soon as I put the shifter into reverse, the camera turns on and I am able to see the view behind my car. It even has LED lights to illuminate the area behind when it's dark, such as nighttime.
So, for less than $45, I have modernized my 2008 Honda Accord a little bit.

The company Leekooluu has not honored their promise of an Amazon gift card to me, for writing a favorable review. After many attempts contacting them via email, they have not responded. So, as for the company, they lose 4 stars for customer support.

My car didn't come with a backup camera and the thought of adding a new stereo unit to add a backup camera didn't sound fun. I looked at wireless backup cameras and I felt there may be a disconnect in signal quality, besides the camera has be powered no matter what, so there is no completely wireless setup that is small and compact. this camera I found to be quite easy to operate and install (generally) into my car.
The kit is packaged nicely in a small box, the screen is protected with clear film, all the wiring required, and a stand that can be mounted on the dash or windshield giving user options, and instructions with link to YouTube video to see install and connection setup. The best part of this setup is the two methods to wire the device. It has two options to power the camera: through 12VDC plug (manual ON/OFF) or hardwire to the backup lights (auto ON/OFF) of your vehicle. I didn't feel like having wiring floating in the center console so I hardwired it to my backup lights.
I did a dry run with the trunk and access from back seat open to see how well it works and it works really well. the screen allows the backup lines to be shifted based on the width and height of the vehicle, allowing for a more custom view. the camera has a bracket built in to mount to license plates screws, making it easier. Though my car is a compact and found I can't angle the camera any further downward, I have a foot of clearance between the bumper and where the RED marks end on the camera. If the camera was designed to fit the electronics in a narrower case, it would be even better but no complaints here, less chance of hitting stuff with my car when reversing. The quality of the camera is great and the backup camera has 6 additional white LEDs giving more light in the back. there is also an extra plus for the monitor it comes with. It has a metal plate on the back of it. I purchased a magnet mount for the dash and now can switch between the backup camera and my cell phone when needed.
As for the install, that was a bit tricky as a whole must be cut in the trunk to run the cables or if you are lucky find an opening. I was able to find an opening and simply ran the cables along the cable harness of the car. I used the T-splitters that came in the box, it killed my backup light for the one side. I removed them and was able to tuck the power cables (+/-) into the backup cable harness (wiring was thin enough). I used some liquid electrical tape to hold them in place and done. I ran the cable down and around to the passenger side of the front dash as the cable on the monitor is on the right side. The picture isn't as good now when compared to the straight shot down the middle of the car, i figure there is something causing interference but that is on me not the camera, if I ran the cable another way it may go away but still looks very for the 20 seconds its used for. The actual cable connections are thin but solid and marked on each cable connector side to ensure its aligned properly when connected. the connectors are keys so there is no reversing the connecting.
I've had it for about 3 months and love it. I actually bought another one for my dads SUV, which is also older. Just wondering how long it will operate and how it will handle being in the colder temps and snow. Only time will tell.

Huge improvement in visibility!
Reviewed in Canada on June 5, 2023
The item arrived promptly. The product is well made and durable looking. It came with everything needed for the installation including 23.5 feet of cable.
I installed this myself. Instructions were clear and easy. Not a fault of the product, but the hardest part was hiding the wire under the panels. I connected it to my reverse light rather than through the cigarette lighter adapter. The monitor powers on instantly when I put the vehicle into reverse and there seems to be no lag from the camera. There are numerous wireless camera that eliminate the need to run wire from the camera to the monitor - I'm not sure if there would be connectivity or lag issues in such a set up.
The suction cup on the monitor is sticky and seems to hold well. Have not tested it at night yet. I’m also curious to see how it holds up to Canadian winters.
I didn't realize what a difference a backup camera would make. I intend to get an identical unit for a second vehicle.
The user manual indicates it has a 3-year warranty. Many reviews indicate that they have had outstanding customer service when faced with issues and it seems the seller stands by their product. Great value for money.
