My old farm truck is not fancy, but now it has a back up camera. It really helps to be able to see behind me with a load of feed or hay. I was always worried about my dogs, animals, or grandkids not being seen, but now I can see. I'm still cautious, but this helps ease my concerns. This was easy to set up and the picture is great. This is such a useful option where technology is non-existent on an older vehicle.

I have a 150 ft long steep curvy ramp that I back my boat into the water. When it has been a while or last season since I have back it in, it can take several tries due to not being able to know exactly where the trailer tires are in relation to the edges of the ramp. I hooked up the camera and monitored the camera from my truck from the inside. No signal issues and I had the camera low so that I had a good angle on the trailer tire position. This is going to make all the difference on the first launch of the season in a few weeks. There are a few things to note. My phone didn't immediately recognize the camera WiFi signal, but after re-powering the camera there was no issue connecting and viewing the camera. I noticed one previous reviewer stated that it didn't work on the Pixel phone, but my older Pixel 2XL had no problem with the app nor the WiFi. I plan on using it as a dedicated monitor. When I initially didn't get the WiFi signal, I noticed that the wire that powers the camera had a label stating "POWER: 5V". I was like, oh no, I just fried this brand new camera. As it turns out, I had not fried it and the instructions state 12 V, so I have no idea what that label on the wire is all about.

This item works great, you just wire to 12v and then connect with the app to the wifi network it generates. Very simple, very easy.

The problem is, eBay and Amazon is littered with this very same product for only $25

The support is rather good so I will give it two stars. They did get back to me in less than 24 hours when I asked a question.

My recommendation would be to find a $25 unit just like this one or buy a more expensive one with integrated battery and magnetic base if you need true portability.

So, the camera itself is a pretty typical backup camera and the app is about as basic as you can get. The nice thing is that it works on a wi-fi signal making it pretty easy to connect. It does state that it is incompatible with Pixel, Motorola and Kyocera phones. Which of course I have one of those. I did bench test it before installing on my tablet and it seemed to work just fine. In their directions that have it wired to the tail lights, so I suppose if you are wiring to your trailer as long as you are connected to the truck, your camera will be on as soon as your running lights turn on. My only concern is the signal strength from a long trailer to the cab of a truck. I know that aluminum can interfere with certain signals and the majority of the framing in my travel trailer is aluminum. The picture quality is good and it is a wide angle. For a car I think this would work with no issues, except for having to connect to the wifi every time you wanted to backup. I think this is more practical for a trailer situation. The price point for camera systems seems very low, but most other systems come with a monitor. So, for this setup, you get the camera with a wifi transmitter built in. When you open the box, you may feel like there should be more there for the price. As soon as spring arrives and I can get out on really road test this, I will come back and update my review if it cannot get a signal though to the cab of my truck.

The small size and easy mounting make this a nice addition to any vehicle lacking a rear-view camera. Simple pairing with an android device or iphone turns that device into a fully featured backup up viewer. Have a nasty blind spot on your RV? This can eliminate that blind spot.

This is a simple device that installs east and seems to work well. The price is a bit higher than the competition but the picture quality seems to be better than the others I've tried. Overall a solid unit
