CCrane makes some of the best products like this. This one is no exception.
I bought this to add WiFi to an old barn (for cameras and a gate) which is 800' from the house and close to the road. Installed, it works perfectly!! But read for more info...
My Orbi (RBR/RBS mesh system) satellite is in an attic window in our house which is higher than the barn. To the barn, line of sight, are a few trees, but nothing super thick. It's Fall, but the trees still have their leaves. At 800', my signal strength is 78% or so. It shows signal strength of 54 MBS which is far more than enough to do most anything.
It is easy to physically assemble and install. CCrane provides excellent instructions printed on nice paper, not some crappy stuff printed at a font you can't see. They provide the items to seal the connections properly (silicone and a wrap).
I did contact customer support on a weekday for a question and they promptly got back to me. (They are on Pacific time.)
Works on a mast of 1 1/4" to about 2 1/4".

I used this extender to put WiFi in my all metal barn about 215' from my house. I aimed the antenna at a back window of my house where the home WiFi router (Neatgear Nighthawk 1900) is located, and got very good signal (87%). Manual says you need at least 50%. My entire home bandwidth from the DSL (10M) was available inside the barn. I am in rural Texas and DSL is all I can get. These instructions are the best I have ever seen (I'm a senior citizen), clear, concise and complete. The assembly was straight forward, with no issues, and they include weather proofing for the RF connection. The hardest part in my case, was finding the optimum position to put the antenna, and mounting the antenna. Finding Line of Sight through trees and other obstacles. The antenna is intended to mount on a pole, but I really didn't need that, and I also wanted to minimize the profile and appearance. So I built my own bracket to give me the 130 degree angle I needed, and attached that directly to the antenna mount. I also put a doubler inside on the sheet metal to distribute any wind or ice loading I may get from the antenna. I read previously from another reviewer to follow the instructions exactly. I would agree with that and you should have no problems. I hope this little system stands a reasonable test of time bc I am impressed and happy I finally have WiFi in the barn.
Update 3/4/22
I've added this update for anybody that might have a similar situation to help save time. My kit came with a Split USB-A 2.0 20' cable (one end had a mini B) and a USB-A 2.0 12" Extender cable. Directions say to connect the Split cable to the receiver and to the extender cable and connect the extender cable to the router. Since my installation has the antenna, receiver, and router all with in about 2' of each other, I didn't need all that cable and the extra connection. But it was a little confusing of why they would have put a 12" extender in the circuit bc there is just no reason for it. So I thought maybe it was custom and changed pin outs, but it doesn't, it is just a USB-A 2.0 extender. So I replaced that whole mess with a 3' USB-A 2.0 to USB 2.0 mini B (the receiver connection has a USB-B 2.0 mini female connector. This is the cable I bought to replace the original two cables. It cost $1.99. Monoprice 3-Feet USB 2.0 A Male to Mini-B 5pin Male 28/24AWG Cable with Ferrite Core (Gold Plated) (105447),Black

My barn is about 450' away from the house. The system very much depends on the wifi router in the house. In my case, after moving the antenna around the signal strength was still in the red zone. C Crane recommends that we get the signal to over 50%, the green zone. However, I was able to set it up with 30-50% link quality. My wifi demand in the barn is not high; I am not watching Netflex in the barn! So it seems to work just fine at this quality level. Having said that I have just purchased a long range wifi repater so I can put it on my porch to get even more reliable operation.
The repeater is rather basic. Again, for my application it works well and has good coverage in and outside of my barn.
The product was packaged well. The instruction is very clear and helpful. Overall, I am very happy with this product.

This product works great! I installed it on my 40x40 metal shop to get internet which is 360 feet away from house. I’m getting 88% signal inside the shop. I can now play my golf simulator which loads fast on line and watch football games with no buffering. I recommend buying this if you need internet in your shop. GREAT PRODUCT!

Received 12/17/23, installed 12/18/23, stopped working 12/20/23, returned through Prime 12/21/23. Amazon is holding refund until 1/19/24. We have been Prime members since the inception and this refund hold has never happened.
This item worked great for 36 hours then it died. It would not detect any network (even when in the same room as the router). There were not any extreme conditions and it was plugged into a grounded surge protector.
I searched a little deeper and found that this is a common issue and that others found the manufacturer is less than accountable. Therefore, I packed it back into the original packaging and processed the Prime return.

Note: There is normally enough speed and bandwidth for several users except for high bandwidth demands; All WiFi repeaters and extenders reduce speed because they move the data twice
The CC Vector Long Range is capable of supporting two users watching SD quality Netflix or several users browsing the internet simultaneously; As distance is increased, speed is reduced
