I have installed the unit on a bike bag at the rear of my electric bike. It’s powered by a separate, small 12v lithium battery. A switch on the handle bar turns on both this unit and a 5” screen I installed on the handle bar with a phone holder.

Works great as a supplement to my small bike mirror, especially if it’s turned on before making a left turn. If the light sensor on the right side is covered with a piece of black electric tape, the LEDs stay on to provide an added safety feature in daylight hours as well as after dark.
