I’m a trucker. I bought this to view my back ups. The view is very wide and far away. It didn’t work for backing up a tractor trailer 52 ft trailer. Probably good for boaters. Good quality. I’ll sell this on eBay. Some else can make better use of it. Good quality. Oh! I drove down the road with this still on the back of my 52 ft trailer. It didn’t fall off!

Reason I bought: I’m a trailer towing veteran who is tired of looking like a rookie when backing up a single place waverunner trailer. I needed a higher camera angle.
Solution: Attach this on cab roof for a better viewing angle when backing. Conceal out of view inside the truck when done. Magnet is strong, but this will be powered off and kept inside truck when actually towing down the road.
Setup/function: Camera is charged with a Usb-C cable (included). My phone is running Android ver. 10.0. I downloaded/installed the “RV Camera” app. as instructed. Instructions as accurate and concise. Camera was powered on. From phone WiFi settings, it found the camera’s wifi signal, so I switched to it. Back to app screen, the camera SSID appeared, I clicked on it, then clicked on a “Confirm” message below it, and was then brought to the live camera view. From the live view screen bottom menu, you can flip orientation of video all around if needed, take camera view screenshots, and turn on/off the guidelines. I keep them off. If they are adjustable, I do not know how.
Video I posted is of camera in use. The green trees/grass seen on video look quite red and that is only due to the phone screen recorder app I used. Otherwise, actual colors I saw on my phone screen were fine. No video lag when mounted on truck. I also included a clip of me walking around while holding the camera aimed at my cell phone with the live view active to demonstrate zero lag in the video transmission. Video quality is excellent. I’m very happy with this camera.
Using this on a 2019 Ford Ranger, 4 door, with a tonneau cover. Even with cover retracted, tailgate down, and looking over my shoulder, I can barely see the end of my single place waverunner trailer (empty). Skinny trailer means I can’t see it in side mirrors until it is too crooked to easily correct. I transitioned from old-school, looking over shoulder backing to using the trucks factory tailgate mounted back up camera, but that sits so low, I can’t effectively see when the back of the trailer begins to go the wrong way. Add to the mix some very steep and narrow ramps, the trailer drops out of view quickly and there isn’t a lot of turning correction you can make before grazing the dock. This camera will finally solve all my trailer backing issues.
5.0 out of 5 stars
No-lag performance. Great for steep boat ramps & backing up low trailers.

Overall does a good job. My only issue is that I lose the signal from the unit to my phone a lot which causes me to have to stop backing up until it reacquires the signal. Has made hooking my camper up to the truck much easier. Unit is well made. Downloading the app was a breeze and setting it up took very little time.
My phone may be the issue for the signal issue so I would like to try downloading the app to my son's Samsung S22 to try it. I have a Samsung A53 so I know my phone is not as good.

Purchased this as I was looking for a good quality backup cam so I can line up my tow receiver without going back/forth multiple times without a spotter. In theory, this should do the job, but... it doesn't.
Connectivity between my iPhone and the camera is very difficult to achieve. It takes multiple attempts, and failures, until it finally locks in. Then, when I place the camera on the bumper, signal drops as I take a few steps to get inside my vehicle. From the back seat, it's connected. From the front seat, it drops. I drive a 2-door Jeep Wrangler; it's a very short wheel base. I also live in a rural area; there are no wireless signals at my house that would interfere with this device.
I tried playing with it for a few months, then gave up entirely. I'm a tech-savvy person, but this product just doesn't work. Even worse is that by the time I decided to give up, I was outside the grace period for an Amazon return, so now I'm stuck with it.
Don't be like me - Save your money and think twice before purchasing this magnetic paper weight!

For those that are saying it's junk, or it doesn't work, they must have a defective item. Mine works perfectly fine. I charged the battery, downloaded the app & turned it on, and it worked instantly! The picture quality is pretty good, and the range between my cellphone & the camera works just fine for what I need it for.
I didn't want anything that involved wires, cables, drilling, etc. I wanted something that I can use in an instant for backing up my vehicle to hook up my trailer. Very simple....turn the camera on, turn on the app on my cellphone, attach the camera to the back of my vehicle (the base has a strong magnet) .....& that's it.
I also use it on the back of my trailer to assist me when backing up in a tight spot or thru my RV gate. I just put the camera on the back of the trailer. When I'm traveling or not using it, I take it off. No sense in hitting a bump & risking it falling off, or the sun/weather beating it.
I paid $102.85 for it on Amazon. It's the best bang for the buck.
If you want to spent $400.00+ for a camera & monitor that will basically do the same thing, go ahead.
I'm happy with it.

Bought this camera to keep an eye on our horses inside our horse trailer.
First use: plugged it in overnight to a 35watt charger. No charge indicators, but manual says at least 6 hour charge before first use.
Camera was on the next day and transmitting for 7+ hours, flawlessly.
Signal was perfect- my phone (receiver) was in the cab of the truck. The camera was mounted inside the trailer, on the rear door facing forward. now this is a 3-horse slant load metal and insulated trailer with a dressing room at the front. I was worried that the wifi wouldn’t be strong enough from the inside rear of the trailer- but there were zero issues during the 7+ hours.
Strong magnetic mount kept that little camera perfectly still on the back door. I could see our ‘cargo’ the entire trip!
I’m so glad we got this camera.
The app from the App Store is just a generic app for these types of cameras. No bells or whistles.
I really like this camera!

Excellent product. I use it for hitching the caravan. Lined it up first time and no shouting with the wife. Then when at the caravan park I put it at rear of the van to help reverse. I don’t leave it on when traveling.
Having the viewing on your phone with the app makes it handy when adjusting the angle of the camera when attached to the vehicle. Else you would be back and forth to the car vs camera. Being portable and rechargeable is very handy. The app set up was incredibly easy. Basically download and go. I was waiting for the usual connection and pairing issues. I use iPhone 10. Quality is very good but color accuracy varies - not an issue though. I have a 24.5ft van so distance from camera at back of van to me/my phone in the car is about 12-13m. No change in quality.
Highly recommended.

I use this camera to back up my 30 ft fifth wheel RV. Camping in locations without Internet is no problem as this unit has its own built in wifi. Does delay a few seconds while travelling down the highway. Very strong magnet base stays securely in place. Setup only takes a few minutes and your good to go. I recommend this product.
