Great truck back-up camera. Easy to install, image quality is clear even at night. Wide range, no video lag. If you are thinking of buying a reverse camera, I highly recommend this product!

first things first, this is the second camera i got from this vendor. the first one did not work (only showed a blue screen) and was returned through the amazon returns program

ive returned dozens of things through amazon and this was the first and only time the vendor actually reached out to me to see what the issue was, and how to improve it

so, kudos for that

as for the camera and screen (and this is for the wired camera with the 7 inch screen, in case amazon decides to group this review in with who knows what...the dont seem to be to particular)

one thing i love about this screen is that is has a memory
i have had other back up cameras in the same price range and way to often, whatever changes i make to back up lines width, height, or whatever does not get stored so when i power the camera back on, it will be back on the default settings which is a pain

this particular screen goes right back to where i left it off, which is great

there are only two places where i think they can really improve on this product and the first is a home screen
when you first turn on this camera, there is a picture of some european trucks on the screen
which is great, except for the fact that they are NOT at the moment behind my truck, and since i am using this as a back up camera (its advertised purpose, go figure) all i want to see, is what is behind my truck

so if we could just get rid of that home screen and go straight to picture, that would be great

the only other "issue" is the back up lines
they are great, and quite adjustable except for one hiccup, if you set up the screen for a horizontal flip, those back up lines will show up in the sky, instead of on the ground

kinda defeats the purpose

having said all that, i like this set up and if it doesnt give out in the next 2 years, id be willing to buy it again

i wired mine in to the back up lights (into the back up light wire for the trailer plug, to be precise) and it only comes on when i shift the truck in reverse

i cant saw how well the "night vision" is because the back up lights on the truck are bright enough to make it look like noon

As I was accustomed to having one, the lack of a camera in my new vehicle caused me concern, so I purchased this one to install. It was simple to do and as long as you know what you are doing its not hard to hide the wires so they are not an eye sore.

This merely plugs into the lighter port in the vehicle, so no actual electrical work is required. I was able to enter my vehicle, and when I put it in reverse, the camera screen illuminated to reveal a bicycle behind me, thereby saving my son's bicycle. It is reasonably priced, straightforward to install, effective, and offers a clear view behind the vehicle.

Large clear screen made it easy to see the alignment of the hitch and the trailer ball! 👌 Screen fit on the dash. Works very well. Hardest part was string the wire for the hookup, something you'd need to do for any camera. I'd call this a win-win!

FYI...Camera is fixed to a metal bar w slots for tag screws but its not adjustable except bendable metal, however, may not fit over license plate with frame as simple as described and may only be attached to backside by bending camera mount metal or resolve to attach entirely on the outside of plate..easier to steal. Attempted upside down for better view and mount n rotated monitor picture but then camera view is reversed i.e., turn right it goes left, etc..great picture though. BTW, haven't figured out why monitor goes off after a few minutes. I may attempt a return although it's not my fault I had to install it to find out issues. :o(

Works great on my old truck. Easy installation. Nice and clear lcd display. Had fuse blown out on car charger so I emailed eRapta last night inquiring about the fuse size and got a response the next morning! They’re going to send me a whole new system for free! Now that’s great service.

Just installed this the other day & took me about 1hr to install. Checking out video's and notice everyone left there camera holder bar on front of lience plate instead behide it. Cops won't bother you because they can still read your plate. I hid mine so my lience plate was still viable. I was able to install my camera right under my other camera that doesn't work. You get plenty of wire extra. That's why I got one for Truck you get enough plus wiring. My picture is clear and I see what's behide me. Im happy with this product & good price. My car is 2018 Dodge Journey.
