Once again Amtifo made a remarkable backup camera if you’re ok with a wired connection. I actually put mine on the front of my Dually. My truck is so big and tall I was needing help seeing up front. The hookup is so easy, route the wiring along the frame and attach with some zip ties then come up through the floorboard. It comes with wiring to connect to fuse box or a plug for the cigarette lighter.
Unreal to get a camera for this price and have such clarity on the camera and monitor. And the monitor is the perfect size, not too big.
I have not been disappointed at all with any of Amtifo cameras, I also have a wireless that I use on my 5th wheel which has not let me down.
Totally happy with the quality and it’s a plus for the price as well.

This camera worked great! This is a wired system priced very reasonably for as well as it works. The screen is very bright with a clear, sharp picture. At night the picture remains clear and very easy to see. The 7” screen is plenty big enough for the job, and has manual controls on the reverse for fine tuning such as flipping the picture, brightness and the like. This expands you choice of mounting locations because you can mount the screen upside down if needed.

It’s perfect for helping you hook up a trailer with an older pickup! You simply can’t miss. Backing into a tight space or garage becomes easy. You will wonder why you didn’t do this sooner! If you have a car without a backup camera, or are simply tired of an old-school 2.5” video, I highly recommend this package.

You have two options for the actual install. One is you use the accessory outlet and included push button to manually power up the camera system as needed. The second is to power it from the positive wire on one of your backup lights. This powers the whole system automatically when you place your car into reverse. It’s just a little longer install, but very worth it. The instructions tell you how to use the included wire taps to make it easy.

Simply place the camera behind your license plate (and frame, if you have one) and manually pivot the camera to achieve the correct view. Plug in the wire. Be careful with the plug orientation, there is a guide molded into the plug and arrows on the outside to help Run the cable for the front camera and hide it along the molding and edge panels as needed. This is actually the hardest part but don’t worry, you have plenty of cable! Plug in the screen in front. Place it where it’s easy to see using the 3M adhesive included and you’re done!

Overall, I am very happy with the AMTIFO A23 Backup Camera with 7-inch Monitor. It is a great product that is easy to use and provides a clear and wide view of the rear of the vehicle. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a low cost backup camera.

The picture quality is excellent. I'm quite impressed with how it looks at night. I'm not sure whether it switches to black and white when it gets dark enough. The tail lights on my car are bright enough for the camera to remain in color vision all the time and it looks excellent. Truly superb. Installation was a breeze. Took me about 20 minutes to set it up with constant power via the 12V adapter. I prefer seeing the video image all the time, rather than connecting to the reverse lights and only seeing when in reverse.

The big negative that prevents giving the extra half star is that the mounting options are limited and not very good. The mount uses a sticky suction cup (the kind that feels sticky to the touch but doesn't leave any residue of glue on anything). It does not work to stick to a dash. It also doesn't work as well as it should on the windshield glass. When the weather gets hot, or just over a period of a few weeks, the suction is lost and the monitor falls down, separating from the mount in the process. I wish different mount options were included. My suggestions are 1) a standard suction cup that is large and flexible enough to stay stuck on the windshield through temperature fluctuations, 2) a weighted bag or mat that sits on top of the dash and doesn't slide, 3) a vent mount that locks onto the vent, but does not block it, and 4) a CD player mount.

Still, the suction cup works well enough for me and I would recommend this to others. I appreciate the lag-free video since it is hard-wired to the monitor. The screen size is perfect for getting a clear view without blocking forward vision.

This camera works really nice. Easy to assemble. But it depends on how we take the wiring to backside. Instructions in the manual and video links helpful. Great product for this price. Video image is clear and comes with different level of settings.
