The 2024 Discovery From Fleetwood RV: New Floor Plans & Features
Fleetwood RV has already come out swinging with updates for its 2024 models. Their Class A motorhomes are getting a revamp for the upcoming year, and it’s hard to decide which product line is the best. But the 2024 Discovery should definitely be on the shortlist of options, especially if you’re looking for a diesel pusher.
These vehicles were designed to be extremely powerful while still featuring spacious and luxurious designs. Although Discovery vehicles have been around for a while, the 2024 lineup promises to deliver new updates and floor plans. They have a large amount of floor space, multiple bathrooms, and high-end amenities to make any trip feel like a luxury retreat. A 2024 Discovery from Fleetwood RV can take you anywhere in style. Let’s take a closer look at the updates for the coming season!
Overview
“There’s a reason this is one of the most sought-after luxury RV models in the world: It’s equal parts powerhouse and palace, built to conquer every highway and spoil you with every luxury.”
Discovery motorhomes have been around for several years now. Fleetwood RV has a large collection of Class A motorhomes (both gas and diesel-powered). In previous years, the Discovery motorhomes have featured multiple floor plans. However, in 2024, the company decided to simplify and streamline the offerings in its catalog.
In the upcoming year, there are only two floor plans for this product line. However, that means that the company was able to devote more time and attention to each one! Both designs are large and comfortable, but they also have unique layouts and purposes.
The floor plans aren’t the only thing that’s different this year. Customization has always been a priority at Fleetwood RV, and customers can choose the exterior color palette for their vehicles. In previous years, the Discovery had five color options to choose from. This year, there are six choices, and some of the old options have been changed as well.
Discovery motorhomes have been popular for years, and Fleetwood RV decided to stick with the things that people enjoyed. But that doesn’t mean that they’re finished innovating! The new lineup for 2024 is better than ever, and we can expect to see even more changes from this company in the future.
Noteworthy features
Class A motorhomes are usually the biggest and best options in the RV world. They have plenty of space for bedrooms, bathrooms, spacious kitchens, storage units, and so much more. The Discovery RVs have plenty of space to work with, and they really maximize every inch.
From bottom to top, these vehicles are impressive. Each build starts with an XCM Freightliner Custom Chassis®. These are equipped with a Cummins® B6.7 engine, which can generate 360 horsepower and 800 lb-ft of torque. These motorhomes are super powerful, so you can count on them for long-haul road trips.
A lot of motorhome owners like to tow an extra vehicle so they have something smaller to drive around town. Fortunately, you can pull pretty much anything with a 2024 Discovery. These RVs have a towing capacity of 10,000 lbs., so you can easily carry a variety of cars, trucks, recreational vehicles, or even a small boat!
You’ll also enjoy plenty of storage space in these RVs. For starters, there are several wardrobes, dressers, and overhead storage compartments in the interior. But like many Class A models, there are also large storage compartments underneath the vehicle.
These are perfect for storing bulky items, but you can also use them for long-term storage if you use your motorhome all year long. Best of all, the Discovery features maintenance-free cedar-lined storage compartments, so you can just tuck stuff underneath and forget about it.
Fleetwood RV is also very proud of its updates for this new year. They take pride in the fact that these vehicles boast name-brand appliances for the kitchen and laundry room. The product page also boasts that the 2024 Discovery has improved AC ducts for better temperature control, plus a powerful water heater that can heat as much water as you need.
Other noteworthy features for 2024 include:
- 105-gallon fresh water tank
- Push button start
- Vacu-Bond aluminum framed constructed sidewalls, roof, and floors
- Fiberglass skirts on the wheel wells
- Rear ladder for rooftop access
- 7-way round tow connection
- One-piece fiberglass roof
- Porcelain tile flooring
- Electric fireplace
- Washer and dryer (either stacked or side by side)
- Free-standing dinette
- Accent lighting
- Heated floors
- Stainless steel residential refrigerator
- Encore Series King Bed
- And much more!

Decor options
As we mentioned earlier, there have been some changes to the decor options in the 2024 lineup. Customers have always been encouraged to personalize their vehicles with a variety of interior and exterior designs. But this year, there are all-new options in addition to some old favorites.
Interior
There are three design collections to choose from when you buy a 2024 Discovery motorhome. They’re called Serenity, Ridgeland, and Spanish Moss.
Serenity has a neutral color scheme with light colors and textures. Nothing is too stark or contrasting here, so it creates a calming space. Most of the surfaces feature warm gray tones, although there are a few touches of silver and blue as well.
Ridgeland is much more contrasting. There are bold designs of black and white in this collection, so it feels very modern. The patterns are also more rigid and geometric here, so there’s a more defined tone and style to everything.
Finally, Spanish Moss offers a grounded, organic aesthetic. The tones here are much more natural, with plenty of browns, greens, and beiges. The bedding even features a leafy design to evoke a forest-like feeling!
Each of these collections offers something unique. In addition, customers can choose one of three different cabinetry options to complement their design. The main options are white, brown, and black, so they will pair well with any of the decor options.
Exterior
The interior isn’t the only thing you can change here. The outside of your motorhome should also make a statement. Luckily, you can choose between six different options to find the perfect fit.
- BlueJacket: Gray base coat, blue and white accents
- Charleston: White base coat, red and black accents
- Copperhead: Warm grey base coat, tan and white accents
- Imperial: Black base coat, gray and red accents
- Resolution: White base coat, blue and gray accents
- Salt Water: Off-white base coat, blue and gray accents
Floor plans
38N
This first floor plan is actually a bunkhouse model! If you want to increase your sleeping capacity, this is the way to go. The rear section contains the master bedroom and a private bathroom. There are also spacious wardrobes in this section and a washer and dryer.
Outside this bedroom, there’s a short hallway with the bunks on one side and a second bathroom on the other wall. Both bathrooms contain showers, so everybody has plenty of space to get ready in the morning. The rest of the space is occupied by a living room and kitchen setup. Special features include a booth-style dinette, a sofa bed, and a neat little pantry.
38W
The 38W has many similar features, but the layout is quite different. For starters, the rear bathroom is much larger in this layout! It has room for a shower, toilet, dual-sink vanity, linen closet, and a stackable washer and dryer. This connects to the master bedroom.
A second bathroom sits outside this section, but it’s only a half bath. It faces across from the kitchenette. The rest of the space is dedicated to a combination living/dining room! There’s a free-standing dinette, a sofa bed, and an additional sofa for relaxing.
