AI-generated from the text of customer reviews
Customers are satisfied with the antenna's ability to prevent video feed from dropping out. They mention that it has improved picture quality and stopped intermittent drop outs.
Customers are satisfied with the range of the antenna. They mention that it provides excellent range extension from a small transmitter, and it has a significant extension of the reach of their gate opener.
Customers are mixed about the signal strength of the antenna. Some mention that it improves the signal well enough that the cameras stay mostly connected, while others say that there was no improvement in signal strength, and the Bluetooth range stopped precisely at 30 feet.
Customers are mixed about the performance of the antenna. Some mention that it works great, while others say that it didn't work for them, there was no gain or performance increase, and the antennas are useless. Some customers also mention that the signal was very weak and that only one antenna was usable.
Customers have mixed opinions about the value of the antenna. Some say it's worth the money, while others say it was a waste of money. Some customers also mention that the antenna is 3 inches but not as good as the old gate system.
Customers are mixed about the speed of the antenna. Some mention that it works and is faster loading camera images, at low speed backing up, it functions with no lag, and gets less drop out and better streaming updates. Others say that there was still some lag time, the performance of their connection hasn't improved, and the service is worse than before.
Customers have negative opinions about the antenna connector. They say that it is too big, stiff, and would stay tight. Customers also mention that the connector is not the same as shown and that it doesn't stay in place too well.
Customers are dissatisfied with the quality of the antenna. They mention that it's not well made, the hinged part just broke apart, and the base of the product is extremely brittle. Some customers also say that the antenna was delivered broken and is not stable.

I have several Foscam cameras, mostly wired. But the Wi-Fi connected cameras started losing connection, going offline and eventually going online again. I decided to try a better antenna. I connected these, and have not lost the signal since. They are longer than the original, so make sure you have enough headroom. Mine came in black.

This works for my mighty mule gate opener and extended range slightly.

I cannot believe what a difference this antenna made on my Mighty Mule 371 gate opener. I no longer have to drive up to the gate to get the remote to open the gate. I now can open the gate way before I get to it so the gate is now open when I get there and do not have to wait for it to open. I cannot believe that for the price of these antennas that Mighty Mule cannot use these instead of the little 3 inch inch ones that it comes with. I did however install an extension cable to raise the antenna about 3 feet above where the old antenna installed at and that did not help with the original antenna very much. Also we use the wireless push button code remote for visitors and have had problems since it was installed with it not opening the gate and having to backup the vehicle a couple of feet in order for that unit to work. Now with the new antenna that problem went away and it now works like it should of when installed. I would highly recommend these antennas. I put some epoxy on the bottom of it to keep it from bending back to it straight position and also to keep the rain water from running inside that area. Then once I had it installed I took a small round circular clamp and put it between the antenna base and were it screws in about half on each side and tightened it down to keep the antenna from moving front to back when the winds come up strong.

I put these on two WIFI cameras that are quite a way distant from my WIFI. They stabilized my signals so I get less drop out and I get better streaming updates (less jumpy video) with these antennas. I'd buy again.

Absolutely positively would NOT screw into either or my routers. Waste of money.
That was my first impression. The antenna was very difficult to get attached, but I eventually got it. Now that it's attached, it is performing very well. It has provided a lot better signal strength to my router than the original included antennas.
I really wish the connector was a bit easier to use. I could easily give the product five stars if that was the case. If you DO buy this, just keep in mind it can be a bit tricky to get connected, but actually works great. Hopefully, maybe, I just got unlucky with a really tight connector.

You have got to freaking be kidding me. I received my shipment from Amazon today. I opened the box to find this item, the antennas, were in 1/2 the original package. Package was torn. No damage to the outer box or other items in the box from Amazon. I have ordered these antennas from this seller earlier this year. They arrived in a full package with a ziplock closure at one end. Absolutely no need for anyone to tear the original package in half such as this one was. So I can only assume this item was returned by someone. My guess is that someone did not pay attention to the specific antenna connection. This has a pin in the center. Such as I ordered, so that was correct for me. I'm glad I didn't write a review yet for the antennas I purchased earlier this year and tested. That review would have received a higher rating. Due to this issue, I wish I could do a zero star rating. Of the many years I have been an Amazon customer, this is the first time I have received an item in an opened condition. As to the operation of the antennas I ordered perviously. I installed one on the rearview camera on my travel trailer. It's mounted up high on the rear of the trailer. That camera's original antenna did not extend above the top of the trailer. The original antenna would drop out/lose signal while traveling down the highway. Also had a big lag in the image when it did stay connected. I installed one of these antennas on the camera, which got it above the top of the trailer a few inches. I installed a non-conductive bracket to help support the antenna as it is quite long. I also installed the other antenna I received on the monitor in my truck. The two antennas did allow me to maintain a connection between the camera and the monitor while traveling on the interstate at 70mph. Although, there was still some lag time. Not anywhere near as much as the original antennas. I did have my truck windows professionally tinted, so I don't know if that may be contributing to the lag. I haven't had a chance to install the monitor antenna outside the truck yet. The distance I have between the monitor and the camera is 45'. There are three roof vents and an a/c unit on the roof of the trailer between the camera antenna and the monitor. When using it at low speed backing up, it functions with no lag.
Again, the one star rating is due to the fact I did not receive an unopened item. It's raining here today so I haven't had a chance to test these to see if they function or are faulty.

I have a Foscam camera in my chicken coop, which is about 60' from the extender in my garage. The original antenna for the camera just wasn't strong enough. This antenna makes the picture very clear, and camera movement very responsive.

I ordered this product for our camera system. When the first order came in the product was damaged and completely unusable. I had to send it back and get a replacement. Well when the replacement got here the product was whole and looked perfect until we looked at the end you attach to the camera. Neither antenna have the plug “the whole reason I bought this” in the end which is stated in the description that it’s a male with a sma plug. We can not use these either and I will be calling Amazon Monday for a full refund.

using this on an ESP32-CAM
Reviewed in Canada on April 11, 2022
good delivery time, works good
I put this on an ESP32CAM after changing the board to accept an external antenna
This procedure is well documented on the web
RESULTS from RSSI readings off the ESP32CAM:
before - RSSI from the ESP32CAM was -70 to -87 on my desk
after - RSSI is now -49 to -53 on the desk
The difference is huge but this allows me to use the ESP32CAM 120' out at a shed where before the "mod",
it wouldnt connect to the wifi router in the basement (even at 50' out).
Now it is almost the same strength way out there (-87) as what the board without the antenna mod was sitting on the desk
I also tested the connection RSSI out at the garage where there was no connection before, now its in the -70's which is very good
I would really recommend this antenna even though its about 15" long
Best RSSI strength is when the antenna is vertically positioned
definately a 8 star is there was such a rating

Worked to improve my signal
Reviewed in Canada on June 30, 2021
Used on my wifi backup camera and it made the signal much better, dropping the connection much less. It is a bit long at the elbow and I had no space in between the camera and the RV wall but I used a 90 deg adapter to make it fit. A good buy.
Improved signal reception.
