WATCH THE VIDEO! – Tonight Woodson Bridge RV Park residents continue to watch the river level increase by the hour as the heavy rain continues to fall. Action News Now reporter Sara Stinson reports on the potential hazardous flooding, and speaks with RV park manager Renea Rooks, who says the water comes up to flood stage every 2-3 years.
Stinson reports that flooding will occur at this RV Park if the Sacramento River gets to 183 feet. Tonight at 3am it is expected to get to 182 feet, which is one foot away from flooding. It would be smart to avoid driving over Woodson Bridge Thursday night or Friday morning, as the river historically floods the popular roadway that connects Highway 99 and Highway 5.
(UPDATE: Thursday night at 10:30 AM, the river was only 1/2 foot lower than than flood stage)
