Whistler CR85 High Performance Laser Radar Detector: 360 Degree Protection and Voice Alerts

The Whistler CR85 laser radar detector is a high performance, professional grade dash model which detects all radar guns used today with total band protection, including X-band, K-band, Superwide Ka-band, and laser. Total laser detection identifies Laser Atlanta Stealth mode, Laser Ally, and the new LTI Truspeed S. It delivers 360 degrees of complete perimeter protection, detecting signals from the front, sides, and rear. Features Radar Signature ID (RSID) which is a Ka-band radar identifier that displays Ka 33.8, 34.0, 34.3, 34.7, or 35.5 when detecting these common Ka speed radar systems. Laser Signature ID (LSID) indicates the Pulses Per Second (PPS) transmitted by speed laser or other forms of laser sources. The POP Mode detection is an advanced speed detection capability that responds to brief bursts of radar. Traffic Flow Signal Rejection (TFSR) helps eliminate alerts from radar based traffic flow sensors and 3 filter modes reduce false alerts caused from other radar detectors. The low emission design makes it difficult to be detected by VG-2 and other radar detector detectors. This laser radar detector includes real voice alerts and an OLED text display that shows alerts and signal strength, as well as many others, such as Stay Alert, vehicle battery saver, 3 city modes, highway mode, and alert priority that make this a feature rich detector. Measures 4.93″ L x 3.12″ W x 1.31″ H, and includes the radar detector, a 12V power cord, direct wire kit, dash pad, windshield bracket kit, user guide, and a limited 1 year manufacturer warranty.Integrated Real Voice technology articulates band identification out loud.

Great detector I pushed it to the limit? Got reassigned from nc to Alaska and had to drive one of my two cars myself to get there, it was brutal but here is how it worked.my configs: all bands on KA set to maxid, tfsr on, no pop. I traveled at a minimum 10 over max 20 overNC- nothingVA- cops everywhere thing picked every single one of them around corners and hills, had to set it on the dash cause its illegal there much harder to see and it still worked well.WV- nothing meaning didn’t see copsOhio-…

Great Radar Detector for the Budget Minded So far, I am very pleased with this purchase. It seems to sniff out the police radar traps, and is fully customizable, for the various departments you are looking out for.I did have to set a filter on the X and K bands, as my expressway drive to work seemed to feature quite a few false alarms. You can customize each band as well, so you can run with no filters on the bands you don’t want to mess with, but tighten up the false alarms if you want.Plenty loud enough, lots…

Whistler CR85 side by side with my old Escort 8500x50Black This is an initial review of the Whistler CR85, that I just received yesterday and am running it side by side with my old Escort 8500x50Black on “Auto” and the CR85 on “Highway”. On my first trip out I encountered several local LEO with their Ka running continually as they almost always do, coming from the front and rear at different times, and one actually parked and shooting across traffic at an angle. So far it is just as I expected after reading countless reviews, technical evaluations,…
