    As an ex-electronics engineer I don’t think I was doing anything stupid, but have been unable to get any AM … I wanted this for my motorhome (based on a Fiat Ducato 2003), which has an ignition switch that is off or on, with no halfway point to power a radio! I bought this Sony, from Halfords, which came with a small wiring loom adapter. It had connectors in this loom to enable me to have the radio on or off whilst the ignition is off (just what I needed). The fitting instructions were very simple and easy to follow.
