    I found the range of this unit wasn’t very good. In a built up area we were getting just 500-600 meters. We tried using Motorola Walkies over the same distance and they were still clear. I expected the opposite considering the limitations on the walkie antennas.It’s worth noting that the magnetic antenna needs to be attached to a metal ground plane in order to function correctly – for example the roof of a car and the 12 Volts comes from an accessory socket (e.g. inside a car) so it…
