   Misses The Boat Though it gave some detail to the Phoenicians shipbuilding, and a bit to the Vikings, it really had vast gaps in the development of seagoing and was very Eurocentric. I was hoping it would cover the many advances in navigation and construction made by the Arab sailors during their Golden Age or the Polynesian sailors who conquered the Pacific, but it spent a lot of time on a modern propeller and the building of a cruise ship.
