10 February 2018
The first leg of the Nansen survey in 2018 has come to an end. It has been a busy but very interesting survey. We have been working 24 hours a day, in two shifts, from our start in Durban on the 26th of January, until we arrived in Maputo today, the 10th of February. It has been a great pleasure to have so many skilled, enthusiastic and hardworking people on board. Hope you have learned a lot, are satisfied with the amount of data you have collected and that you have had a memorable time on board. I wish you good luck with your science and hope to see you all again. I also want to thank the crew for their continuous efforts and for putting so much pride into their work.
