    Great safety item. Great item. Works well on the road picks up cars you can’t hear behind giving plenty of time to prepare road position. Flashing light (500 version not 501) warns cyclist behind of approaching cars. Picks up mopeds and faster cyclists. Not used it at night yet. Can miss cars if cycling in a pack, but not a problem. Will detect up to 8 cars behind as long as they are closing in on you. in traffic queues when you are moving faster or at the same speed as cars it will not detect what is behind,…

    Good product let down by very poor documentation This is a great product, what lets it down is the lack of information supplied by Garmin.I attempted to connect this up to my Garmin Edge 1000 following the small manual that came with the device, after 8 attempts I gave up and called the help line. Please don’t do this if you’re not totally determined to see it through to the end, be prepared to spend at least 1 hour attempting to explain to someone in a overseas call centre that you’re not totally dim and can follow the instructions…
